HWPL International Religious Peace Academy

Since 2023, HWPL has been operating the International Religious Peace Academy (IRPA) and religion-specific lecture series both online and offline to promote deeper interfaith exchange and mutual understanding. Distinguished religious leaders representing each faith have delivered lectures centered on scriptures, contributing to helping believers properly understand the scriptures and teachings of other faiths and establishing a foundation for mutual respect.
During the 11th Anniversary of the September 18th HWPL World Peace Summit, the IRPA will feature special presentations by each religion along with Christian lecture. Subsequently, the following regional lectures will be held on September 20th:

  • Buddhism Lecture
  • Confucianism Lecture
  • Islam Lecture

In particular, this Islamic lecture represents a symbolic case of being held at a Korean Buddhist temple, demonstrating that substantial interfaith exchange and harmony through HWPL’s religious peace initiatives are leading to concrete achievements. IRPA will continue to expand its horizons through cooperation with various countries and religious organizations, and will persistently lead the establishment of interfaith solidarity and peace culture.
